I'm getting one I have gotten some messages (more gay PS3 hating fanboyizam) But the PS3 is OK like it doesn't die after six hours.
Also the games are ok depending on what kind of gaming platform you like. "yes I am acting like a five year old and getting Little Big Planet" But why object to the PS3?

I will still play Xbox because i got Cod:6 but that's not the pointX

I can't stand how the Sony company works with others, as well as its first and thrid party developers. I cant stand how they treated companies and what they did to get to the point they are now in the Video Game Industry.

Plus I think that the Dual Shock was made for people with mutated disabilities. Because that controller will never fit properly in a humans hands.

So the long and the short of it: I dont like how they conduct business, and I don't like the Dual Shock.

Plus all the games that I want are on my platform of choice the 360. And even If they are multiplat, Im certainly not going to go out and sell an arm and a leg to get one, just to play a game for a platform I already have.

Plus, Splinter Cell Conviction, Halo: Reach. ExBawks has it, PEE ESS THREE does not.

hahah the 360 and the ps3 both have there qualities i have played the ps3 on a 40 inc flat screen and the quality is awesome but i have not played on a 40 inc in xbox but games overall both do have there games so if you can afford a ps3 go get one

Sonys networks may be crap for YOU. But I have no problem when playing online, in fact i've lagged out more on xbox 360 games than ps3. Not to mention the wifi. You have to pay an extra 100 bucks to get wireless on 360. PS3 has it built in. PS3 has better backwards compatibility And in next gen only 2 games have gotten perfect 10's. MGS4 and GTA4 both of which are on ps3. The graphics engine is phenominal it can produce 7x more activity on screen than 360. Not to mention, for those unfortunate enough to not have a computer in their rooms, you may also access the entire internet from your ps3. Xbox may have more exclusives. But the exclusives that ps3 do have poop on anything that came out for xbox (except halo). Ps3 home is also a great way to meet people and your characters actually look good instead of a slight improvement of the nintendo wii's mii characters. Blu-ray player (big plus). The online is free and it will always be free. MAG will be badass and I know if a 256player game hit the 360 it would set the owners house on fire cuz it cant handle it. Not to mention that ps3 can stream ANY kind of content from your pc to your tv. So anyone downloading illegal torrents? Why use a dvd when u have a ps3 to play it in the highest quality?

PS3 just recently putgodof war 1&2 on ps3 remade in 720p so ps3 gamers can enjoy great classics on next gen...why doesnt microsoft do that with halo? Huh? PS3 got rid of alot of its backwards compatibility on most of its consoles.

I gave you very specific reasons as to why I didn't and will not buy a PS3 It doesn't make me egocentric at all.

And I wouldn't make the comment of Gears of War if my life depended on it. Though people still like the games and still buy them.

Oh and that same lame graphic Halo game, has out sold both God of War and God of War II combined (Halo-6.4 Million World Wide - God Of War I & II 5.6 Million World Wide)... They had to do something to try to get sales. Halo is good enough to sell itself based on word of mouth.

So Halo is lame and has bad graphics, but Sony's exclusives still somehow can't beat them? Wha? I think.. somehow... you just made my point.

The so called revolutionary Cell Processor.. yeah, 1. thats not a graphics engine. Graphics Engines are specific to the games themselves IE Unreal Engine and 2. because developers still can't properly work with the PS3, it means nothing. Not to mention the fact, that about 60% of the Cell processor has to be scaled back into the background because if it runs at full power, it can overheat, melt, spark and cause house fires. A problem Sony has had in the past. So currently, The PS3 has the same processing power than the 360. Nice try though.

And Yeah, I can see how the PS3's exclusives can beat games on the Original Xbox. But 360 games still somehow manage to sell better than PS3 games.

I have well over 100 movies Downloaded and saved in my Bitlord Downloads folder. I have the entire Firefly series in there as well. I can watch every single one of them on my 360. And I do. Often. And they stream perfect. Not to mention all of my pictures, music and videos that aren't .AVIs all stream as well. My 12k someodd songs even stream instantly, if I don't want to choose what I want to listen too.

So having 256 players instantly makes it bad ass? Ask Call of Duty about too much and too many. Infinity Ward makes damn good games, the problem? They have some of the worst networking possible. So their few players they put on screen running around blowin' crap up, causes lag.

Now then, bump that up to 256. Yeah, MAG May look good on paper, but frame rates, networking, internet connections all have to be perfect for the game to work properly, otherwise, you have a shitty shooter, with 255 lag infested players running around on a really poorly rendered map. I say 255 because every one but the host, which will be able to kill everyone because he/she isn't lagging. Now, there may be more than one host to help deal with the large amounts of players, but my point still stands.

Home.. are you seriously trying to hype that up? One of the biggest flops in gaming history, and you are trying to use it as an example of why Sony is better than Microsoft..... Wow.... Im not saying Im a huge fan of Avatars...... but yeah, Home just ain't gonna cut it bro.

The 360 already has a form of MMO with 1 Vs. 100. There may not be much gameplay to it, but thats still alot of players at one time. And I seem to see you playing Phantasy Star Universe quite alot on the 360.

The PS3 is winning right now? First off, Multiplatform games, still sell better on the 360 than on the PS3. Second, even after a redesign, and price cut, the PS3 was still outsold by an almost 2 to 1 margin by the 360. Third in the coming year, just based off what we know, the 360 has three exclusive games lined up the be Game of the Year (Halo: Reach, Splinter Cell Conviction, and Alan Wake.) We know of only a few of Sony's Exclusive titles. One of which is God of War III, which based on previous sales trends, will sell less than God of War II. (God of War sold 3.4 million, God of War II sold only 2 million. The PS3 has a smaller install base than that of the PS2, so logic dictates this sales trend will continue.)

Oh and one more thing, average scores for both Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTAIV (Not a PS3 exclusive) are 97/100 or 9.7 out of 10 and 9.8/10 respectively. Meaning they aren't Perfect 10s. Halo 3 and Halo ODST both got many 5/5s and 10/10s, but they still aren't rated perfect either. What, did you pull 90% of these "Facts" out of your ass?

MAG supports an ambitious 256 players at once. How early in development did you know you could actually succeed with it?

Nate Klee: Early in the project, I was working on the networking to look for a way to make this work. With 256 players — which are eight times more than our previous and already-large-numbered PS2 games — that’s a daunting task. To figure it out, I spent time with research and development working in 2D applications and various technologies to come up with an experience that would work well. That was always the priority, and we had the networking puzzle solved well before we even had a game up and running, which is how we knew we’d be able to pull it off.

Mike Nicolino: It’s really “hat’s off” to Nate, who has been the driving force behind us being able to do this. I think it may come as a surprise to some people to know that we had the network tech working pretty early — much earlier than people suspect.

Nate Klee: Yeah, we had the tech up and running for quite awhile before we started development on the game itself. We didn’t have soldiers with guns then, they were just beach balls, but it worked.

Mike Nicolino: Beach balls are a long way’s away from a game right? But like Nate said, it was working before the game was made. It actually made me chuckle a little bit when MAG was first announced last year [July 2008] and people were posting on forums asking, “How is Zipper going to get 256 players to work?” Knowing that we had already solved the networking problem early on, it was a pretty good feeling to have.

Nate Klee: After we had the technology working, the next task was transforming these beach balls into people and spending a lot of time on game performance. That’s why MAG only runs on the PS3 by the way – because the system’s SPUs are so powerful that they give us the technical capability to simultaneously run 256 players in the way we do.

Okay, so three PS3 games have preorders. Halo 3 had a shitton of preorders and a shit ton of people still call it a bad game. Do you know how many people actually back out of preorders for one reason or another? And alot of these games are far off. And trust me. Mass Effect 2 (Another candidate for game of the year) will sell a lot. Like, alot alot. I think Halo 3 just broke the 2 million preorder mark. Its sold well over 10 million.. See the difference there.

And a Beta is working.

In Beta form. Halo 3 beta had little to no reports of lag as well. Guess what we have now.

And what, you expect the PR guys to come out saying, "Yeah, the PS3 sucks man, sony's just paying us alot to make this game, but like you know, we didn't do a good job with development, and like, we really can't do networking either."

Oh and big key phrase here. PS2.. yeah, there were like no good multiplayer games for the PS2, seeing as how you know, the PS2 network sucked. Like.. Bad.

Renegade, most of your assumptions are about the current, crappy, slim ps3's that suck ass and have barely any capabilities. I own a 60 gig. The original models which are the best. Theyre fully backwards compatible to the ps1 which kicks ass (Final Fantasy 7 baby :D ) The originals do not crash and you can basically mod them to the point to where they work as computers. Any ps3 besides the 60 or 20 gig suck major penis. The originals have better processors than 360. Ive had the original since the day it came out (I hate sony for making it 600 bucks) and my house is still standing.

As for phantasy star, yeah I did play it for a year or two, but it got boring real quick and I didnt feel like paying an extra 3-4$ a month for FFXI online. Plus you have to pay an extra dollar for every character you make, which is retarded. Im awaiting FFXIV which is ps3 exclusive and it will be a reasonable price unlike XI.

As for God of War, yeah they may have not sold as much as Halo. But you took what I meant waaaay out of context. I loved halos graphics back then and I love halo period. I simply meant with 360's current games on demand why cant they improve the graphics of the original halo or fable? Also how come you cant party chat while playing these games? Theyre downloaded on the 360 so you should be able to. And dont say you can cuz I downloaded crimson skies and halo 1. Crimson skies has xbox live and you still cant get to the 360 dash. The point I was trying to make with God of War, is that sony came out with the dual game pack which will play on the ps3 and the graphics have been upgraded to 720p for the low price of 40 bucks. The only original Xbox game they remade was Chronicles of Riddick (BADASS game) And they did upgrade the graphics as well, but it somehow went to ps3 so its not just a 360 game.

I played the beta for MAG and it didn't lag.

360 has more games yes. But it was also out for a year longer, cuz Microsoft was scared of the ps3 and the wiii so they rushed production and guess what like 8 out of 10 360's got the red ring. I work at gamestop and I cannot tell you ho many people come into my store and returned 360's or trade them in for that reason TO THIS DAY. Ive had maybe like 10-12 broken ps3s opposed to the 200 360s ive taken in. Which is one of the reasons why used ps3s are hard to come by.

Also god of war 3 will have its own engine and it will shit on the unreal engine nuff said.

As for streaming from PC you must have the golden 360 or something cuz I cant get half the programs to work on 360 that work for ps3. I have 2 tvs anyways so I can still stream to my ps3 as well as play the 360 (yes you can do both Im a multitasker :D )

The PS3's I am referring to are the 60 gig models, as they are the ones I am most comfortable with, considering they are the only ones Ive ever played on. I did say though that they are taking away backwards compatibility, and I agree 100% that Microsoft completely fucked up in that department. The processors in the original are the same in the Slims, and other models, also Im not saying the DO burn down houses, Im saying if they don't have the scaled back processors it Could happen. I was referring to the PS2 slims that caused house fires.

I have no doubts God of War IIIs engine will be better than UE. I completely dislike UE so yeah, no arguments here.

And my scores come from Meta Critic. Like I said Halo 3 and ODST had many perfect 10's but overall, after all reviews are counted, it doesn't mean they are the perfect 10's some reviews may give them.

MS wasn't necessarily scares so much as they were making business decisions. They wanted a jump on the market after the whole original Xbox debacle. But on the flip side, that gives both Nintendo to improve on everything Microsoft did as a whole with the early 360 launch. Improve upon the Good as well as the Bad. One example is Wi-Fi, both Wii and PS3 have it, where as MS has to have an Add on.

Another reason the 360 may have "more" games of mention is because of how easy it is to develop for the 360 as well as how easy it is to work for Microsoft Game Studios.

I agree that Xbox Originals has its problems, and while it could have been better, think of it more as just a launching platform for Games on Demand. And yes, you get stunning HD graphics for the God of War Re-Release, but it is also 25 more dollars than the Xbox Originals.

Yeah but it comes with 2 games not one, plus I get a discount so do the math, Im actually getting a better deal. It also comes with a God of War III demo so that's worth it. You also get to play in this new costume with badass shiny red armor with golden dreads it looks SICK!!!

I also agree that sony copies stuff and are assholes when it comes to business. However if they were to fail in the gaming world it wouldn't be a big loss as it would for nintendo. Cuz sony makes half the televisions you play on.

As for sony's controllers I like them better than 360. Theyre talking about going back to adapters like they did for the ps2 and xbox. If they do I will be using ps3 controllers on everything I play because I think it's a better controller.
