View Full Version : Halopen Films: Four Crazy Years

It’s hard to believe, but yes, Halopen has been around for four years now. We’ve gained members, we’ve lost members, but even so, Halopen has still been pumping out new projects. Starting with “Echo Squad 27”, Halopen Films debuted itself as a small machinima clan that had the potential to be its own and make whatever movies it wanted, whenever it wanted. And it has truly proven that. “Mission: Leave No Man Behind”,“Corrupt”, the “Reborn” series, “Threshold” , the “Showdown” series, “Warmness on the Soul”, “a day at work”, “Superheroes”, “Reality”, “The Death of Fantasy”. In four years, Halopen has created sixteen official machinima videos (nineteen if you want to include unofficial machinima releases) from dramatic music videos to sketch comedies to psychological thrillers to story based montages to sci-fi mini-epics. But this mountain of work cannot be fairly credited to one or even two people. It is because of Halopen that these machinimas were made, and by Halopen, I do not mean a single large entity. By Halopen, Halopen Films, I mean all of its members; old, new, still with us, long gone. Without its members’ dedication and hard work, not only would Halopen’s machinimas not exist but Halopen itself as a clan would also cease to be. Halopen Films is its members and these members are Halopen Films. And even after four crazy years, Halopen and its members are still here, and they’re still making machinimas. And as long as its members are here to dedicate themselves, Halopen and its movies will continue to thrive.

Please post anything that you may have to celebrate Halopen, whether it be a screenshot, movie, etc. Please be respectful and courteous to Halopen and other posts in this thread. Forum rules apply will be strictly enforced.

-------------------------

I sincerely, personally, and whole-heartedly would like to thank all of the current and past members of Halopen Films for the all of the hard work they’ve done here to create awesome movies and an awesome clan especially to those who continue to do so.

Special thanks:

McStarken for graciously aiding us in our time of need and continuing to stick by us. Without you, this site and these forums would not have been possible, and I can’t state that enough (as I’ve stated before).

Our moderators (Blekk and OMGIts Renegade [past moderators allbowdown, ittybittybuddah, and all the others I wish I could remember]) for keeping the peace and dispensing justice when it was sorely needed.

Reclaimer52 and Chief John for dealing with myself and my shenanigans on my projects (“Reality”, “A Portrait of a Murderer”, “Quixotical”, and “Quixotical: {CITIZEN TRANSFER}” and on the Pencast.

VenomandCarnage for being the first to arrive at filming sessions most of the time! That’s dedication!

Bigboss815 for changing my mind to stay with Halopen and for all of the great and memorable times. You are deeply missed.

Action Nigel for...being Action Nigel and all the good and sexy times together. <3

Grossman123 for introducing me to Bryboy and Halopen when things were looking bleak in Boomerang Productions.

Helljumper 1178 for helping me out and staying true.

pingpongswrong for all the incredible modding which led to some eye-popping videos and many an antic.

xbryboyremix for accepting me into the clan and teaching me most of what I know about machinimating. Without you, I wouldn’t have gotten into this great craziness, and even though things are rough now, hopefully, one day, it will not longer be that way.

I've been with Halopen well over a year now, and I can say its been an amazing experience. I've had some good times, and bad times but in the end I will always have a home here.
I'd like to thank all the members of Halopen for accepting my Welshness into the clan, and I apologize for the somewhat lack of effort I have put into the clan in my time here.

Birthday Resolution: Lulz with the Bro's, Filmzorz and Insane Insane Partehs!!
Its gonna be another good few months guys :D

I thank McStarken for the new site and upgraded photoshop program, without him I couldnt go the distance in practicing sig making.

I thank vin for getting flipps into the clan (NOT)

I thank Renegade for being Renegade and actually do the mod job correctly and not act like a douche on a power trip.

I thank Chief John for being such an easy person to own that sometimes he even owns himself without realizing it, and he does it for everyones ammusement :)
