Hey, it’s that thing that those guys on the first Pen-thing read!

Q: What is the Halopen Pencast?

A: Well, the Halopen Pencast is like a podcast except you can't really download it from iTunes (well, actually, now you can) and it's not as popular. The Pencast is a different way for us to send out Halopen news as well as musings about related topics (Halo, machinima, etc.). Every show, we hope to have some sort of topic or theme to talk about (along side the Halopen news and news of related topics). For example, one show, after we deliver the news about Halopen, we may go on to discuss quantum physics and how it affects cooking hot dogs.

Q: When do you all release these "Pencasts"?

A: As of now, we are hoping to release a "Pencast" bi-weekly. Depending on the occasion, we may end up releasing a Pencast or two off the set bi-weekly schedule. Editor's Note - We may or may not have kept with the bi-weekly schedule. - Firestorm12

Q: Hey! What are these "Extra Edition" things? I only hear one voice and no one discussing anything relevant!

A: Well, when every Pencast is edited, bits and pieces are cut in order to form a more coherent show. So, every so often, these "bits and pieces" are put together along with introduction clips (so as to set up what everyone is about to hear) in a special "Extras Edition" of the Pencast. This allows listeners to get a bit of a sneak peek of what goes on behind the scenes at the Halopen Pencast recordings while also allowing some of the more random and funny clips that are cut from the shows to find their way into the public.

Q: Anyways. So, is it just going to be the hosts just discussing things or what?

A: No, actually, on shows after our first, we hope to have guests (Halopen members and hopefully others from outside Halopen) come in, introduce themselves, and add on to the discussions.

Q: If I'm a member of Halopen, how can I be a guest on the Pencast?

A: Most of the time the hosts seek out guests for the Pencast, but if you really really really have to be on the Pencast, you need to reach one of the hosts. But first, you need to make sure you have a computer and a computer microphone (that works). Got those? Good. Now you can go ahead and contact the Pencast hosts.

Q: If I want to express that I think the Pencast sucks, or if I want to suggest something, where can I do it?

A: You can post your thoughts, comments, and suggestions about the Halopen Pencast here. If you want to talk about a particular episode on the other hand, search the Halopen Pencast section of the forums for the thread of the episode you wish to discuss and post there.
